Directions for Preparation of One Loaf
You will need:
- 120 g egg whites or 2 large eggs
- a pinch of salt
- 460 mL water
- 1 packet of Protein Bread Mix
Set your oven to 180°C and preheat for 20 minutes. Line a loaf tin (approx. 22cm x 9cm) with baking paper.
Step 1: Mix
Empty the contents of this packet into a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the centre and add the water and eggs. Gently hand mix with a spoon or whisk only.
Step 2: Pour
Pour mix into the tin. Sprinkle with your favourite seeds.
Step 3: Bake
Bake in a moderate oven (180°C) for 60 minutes. Allow cooling completely before slicing with a sharp serrated bread knife.
Storing your Protein Bread
Once cooked and cooled, keep refrigerated at 1-4°C and consume within 5 days or slice and freeze in sandwich bags for up to 3 months.
